Welcome to our web site.

The site is used to keep our members and visitors up to date with our activities.

The Argyll Trefoil Guild meets several times a year, normally in the Free Church of Scotland Hall, Manse Brae, Lochgilphead.

Argyll is a small County by population but is large by land mass and includes Lorn, Cowal, Mid Argyll, Kintyre, and the Southern Hebrides from Coll & Tiree in the North to Islay in the South.

Our meetings are held in Lochgilphead because it is the most central point in the County and can be reached by road and bus from Oban, Dunoon, Campbeltown, Tarbert, and Inveraray. There are ferry links from the Islands to Tarbert and Oban.

We extend a warm welcome to new members and visitors.

Full Membership of the Trefoil Guild is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has been a member of Girlguiding UK or the Scout Association or who makes the Guide Promise.

The aims and objectives of the Trefoil Guild are:

  • to keep alive among members the spirit of the Guide and Scout Promises and Laws
  • to carry that spirit into the communities in which members live and work
  • to give practical, financial and moral support to Guiding and Scouting
